Since 1935 in certain way, Acquavella Caracas was involved in art business. Mr Joseph Acquavella invited by the Venezuelan government presented 12 exhibitions of important Spanish, French and Italian old master at the Museum of Fine Arts of Caracas.
In 1959 Galeria Acquavella was founded, and concentrated its work mostly in French impressionist master and local artists.
Since 1980, Nicolas Acquavella now director of the gallery, besides the great masters of the Venezuelan art, opened the gallery spaces to the promotion of the Latin American and Contemporary art. Important exhibitions as Botero, Matta, Miro sculptures and Anthony Caro were presented among others.
Our experience during 50 years has allowed us to merge two aspects of great relevance when selecting artists and their works: Aesthetic and Plastic Quality. Therefore, we guarantee a reliable investment for our clients via the acquisition of the works of arts.
We also promote emerging artists with a national and international projection, and many of their works are now represented in great collections in Venezuela and in the Latin American world.
Additionally to the Painting, Sculpture and Drawing techniques, Acquavella incorporates contemporary artistic expression techniques such as Photography and Prints.
